10 weeks and counting!

I was telling Elizabeth that one thing that I have come to realize is that I can't do my normal procrastination routine with some of the baby preparations. Normally, if I was to be preparing for a trip, I would not need to pack my bag of goodies until the night before. I would happily leave all packing until the very last moment. With the birth, I don't have a clue when the very last moment will be and so I am realizing that I will not be able to wait until it arrives.

Things like having a crib ready for baby and having things packed for the hospital stay, they need to be done on time but I don't know when the deadline is!

We went and looked at gliders! We don't know if we are even going to get one, but it would be nice to rock the baby to sleep! I can't tell you how much fun it is to go through stores and try out all of their rocking chairs. If you are ever looking for a way spend a Saturday relaxing and enjoying, try out gliders!

Nursery rhymes!

So we have been working on the baby's room.
Trying to be ready for when baby comes out of the womb.
Las weekend we picked up a new dresser and crib
but if this child is like me we still have great need for a bib.
Last week we graduated from our birthing class,
and really it was kind of a pain in my side!
The information was really helpful
though our preparation for actually giving birth is doubtful.
I learned that slow dancing with my wife
is helpful during labor and, in general, in life!
That breathing is good to make it through the pain
though I believe that the breathing isn't new to anyone who's sane.
I learned that massage may help to keep her from getting too tense
and I am certain that's pretty obvious to anyone with common sense.
So all in all, I am glad to have it done with and I am excited for the birth
I can't wait to have the baby and welcome him or her to life on this planet.

All these things are true. It was an interesting class and I am so excited and feel totally unprepared but I keep telling myself that people have been giving birth for at least 30 years or so. I figure we can make it through too.

Check out Elizabeth's blog for a cute photo of the baby belly! I'll post pictures of the nursery as soon as I can. Until then, keep on
living the dream!
